Robo's Drive-In
About This Spot
Pulling up to Robo’s Drive-In feels like stepping into a simpler time, where the pace slows just enough to savor a small-town roadside tradition. Nestled on Orby Cantrell Highway, this humble spot carries the unmistakable warmth of a family-run eatery, where friendly faces and familiar smells greet you as naturally as an old friend’s welcoming smile. It’s the kind of place where conversations move easily around picnic tables shaded by simple enclosures, and where the daily rhythm hums with a gentle, unhurried energy.
Inside, the atmosphere is soft and approachable—a little nostalgic, yet lively with quiet exchanges between locals and travelers alike. The hum of the fryer and the comforting scent of fried favorites mix with the occasional laugh, creating a genuine space where the food doesn’t just fill you up but invites you to linger a moment longer. Whether you’re popping in for a quick custard ice cream or sitting down to coax the last bit of flavor from a chili cheese fries plate, there’s an undeniable authenticity to the experience.
Robo’s offers more than just classic fast food; it’s a collection of moments woven together by the simple joys of familiar favorites done well. From hearty cheeseburgers stacked with just the right fixings, to foot-long hot dogs that come dressed with an attitude all their own, every bite is a quiet celebration of the roadside drive-in tradition. The menu’s variety—from crispy onion rings to a surprisingly thoughtful salad—makes it easy to find something comforting no matter what you’re in the mood for.
The staff’s genuine kindness adds another layer to the mood, turning first-time visits into something you’ll want to repeat. It’s easy to see why folks choose to pull off the highway here, not just for the food, but for the feeling of being invited into a place where service is about people, not just plates. Clean, welcoming, and steeped in local character, Robo’s Drive-In invites you to pause, savor, and enjoy a small-town slice of everyday life along the road.

Love their custard ice cream! It's hard to drive back home on US-23 and not stop in here to get a snack or one of the towering custards. The staff was polite, friendly, and expedient.

Nice little restaurant. First time here, I was just driving through and I thought it looked interesting so I stopped. Glad I did. I had the cheeseburger basket and it was really good. The lady that helped me was really nice and patient with me, because being the first time there I didn't know what I wanted. Will definitely stop back in the next time I am in the area.

Passing through and wanted to stop in.. The coleslaw is the absolute best I have ever had. Fantastic menu options. We ordered the shrimp dinner and chicken dinner.
